Income Insights in Podchaser Pro provide an easy way to gauge and compare the income levels of a podcast’s audience, offering a directional estimate of the average listener’s household income. This helps you tailor ad campaigns to a specific audience, assess market fit, and more.

What do the income indicators mean?

Podcasts are grouped into one of five income tiers, ranging from $ to $$$$$, representing different comparative income levels:

  • $ – Low Income

  • $$ – Below Average Income

  • $$$ – Average Income

  • $$$$ – Above Average Income

  • $$$$$ – High Income

These tiers offer a directional estimate and are not tied to a specific household income. However, they roughly align with U.S. income distribution, where $ represents the bottom 10% and $$$$$ represents the top 10%, based on a median household income of $80K as of 2023 (US Census).
